Hypogonadotropic Hypogonadism & Infertility
Not all infertility is caused by problems in the ovaries or uterus.
Sometimes, the issue begins higher up — in the hypothalamus or pituitary gland, where the hormones that regulate reproduction are controlled.
This condition is called Hypogonadotropic Hypogonadism (HH).
When LH and FSH levels are low, the ovaries may not receive enough stimulation to develop follicles and ovulate, which can lead to difficulty conceiving.
The good news? Many cases are treatable, and with the right diagnosis and individualized fertility treatment, pregnancy may be possible. ❤️
✨ If you are experiencing irregular or absent periods or unexplained infertility, hormonal evaluation can be an important part of your fertility assessment.
Don’t lose hope. Sometimes, finding the right hormonal cause is the first step toward finding the right treatment.
