Problem: The hair transplant resulted in uneven and insufficient coverage. This uneven coverage made the hair look patchy, sparse, and poorly groomed.
Solution: Scalp Micropigmentation (SMP) added follicle impressions to the patchy result, helping visually balance the density and create a more uniform, fuller, and well-groomed appearance.
This is our amazing client who came to us feeling disappointed and less confident with the results of his hair transplant.
Unfortunately, he is not the first person to approach us with the same problem—low density across the top, mid-scalp and crown, along with visible hair transplant scars at the back (donor area). This was the same issue I faced after my own hair transplant before getting my SMP.
For the right candidate, especially someone in the Norwood 2–4 range, a hair transplant can be a good option. But in his case, the results left him with several concerns.
• Keeping his hair long made the lack of density and visible scalp more noticeable (balding appearance).
• A shorter, closely trimmed hairstyle made the transplant scars at the back more visible and highlighted the uneven density at the top.
• Wearing caps and using cover-ups became part of his daily routine.
He wanted a one-stop solution that could address all of these concerns.
That’s where Scalp Micropigmentation (SMP) changed things for him.
By carefully replicating the appearance of natural hair follicles and adding the right amount of density, we created a denser, fuller-looking scalp and improved the overall appearance of his hair transplant result.
This created the good frame for his face, enhancing his overall facial appearance.
The result? A clean, timeless and sophisticated closely buzzed hairstyle—and, more importantly, the freedom to stop hiding behind caps and cover-ups, look and feel confident and youthful about his appearance again.
His fuller-looking appearance is now with him 24/7. 🙌🏻
