"ನಾನು ಡಾಕ್ಟರ್.... ಅಂತಾ . ಒಂದು ವರ್ಷದ ಹಿಂದೆ ಡಾ. ರಾಜಶೇಖರ್ ಸರ್ ಅವರಿಂದ ರೋಬೋಟಿಕ್ ನೀ ರಿಪ್ಲೇಸಮೆಂಟ್ ಮಾಡಿಸಿಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದೆ. ಇಂದು ಫಾಲೋ-ಅಪ್‌ಗಾಗಿ ಬಂದಿದ್ದೇನೆ.

ನಿಜ ಹೇಳಬೇಕೆಂದರೆ, ನಾನು ಶಸ್ತ್ರಚಿಕಿತ್ಸೆ ಮಾಡಿಸಿಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದೇನೆ ಎಂಬುದನ್ನೇ ಮರೆತುಬಿಟ್ಟಿದ್ದೇನೆ. ಯಾರಾದರೂ ಕೇಳಿದಾಗ ಮಾತ್ರ ನನಗೆ ನೆನಪಾಗುತ್ತದೆ. ಅಷ್ಟರಮಟ್ಟಿಗೆ ನನ್ನ ಜೀವನ ಈಗ ನೋವಿಲ್ಲದೆ, ಸುಖವಾಗಿದೆ.

ನನಗೆ ಯಾವುದೇ ರೀತಿಯ ಮೊಣಕಾಲಿನ ನೋವು ಇಲ್ಲ. ಕೆಲವೊಮ್ಮೆ ನನ್ನ ಎಡಗಾಲು (ಶಸ್ತ್ರಚಿಕಿತ್ಸೆ ಮಾಡಿಸಿದ ಕಾಲು) ಬಲಗಾಲಿಗಿಂತಲೂ ಹೆಚ್ಚು ಬಲಿಷ್ಠವಾಗಿದೆ ಎಂದು ಅನಿಸುತ್ತದೆ.
