🍠 Sweet Potato + Moong Dal: A Nutritious Combo for Growing Babies! 🌱

Once your baby is around 8–9 months and developmentally ready for complementary foods, sweet potato and moong dal can be a wonderful combination to include in their diet.

🍠 Why sweet potato?

Sweet potato provides complex carbohydrates and calories to support your baby's growing energy needs.
It is also rich in beta-carotene, which the body converts to vitamin A—important for normal vision, immunity and growth.

🌱 Why moong dal?

Moong dal provides plant protein, iron, folate and other micronutrients needed during this rapid phase of growth.

When cooked until very soft, it can easily be incorporated into baby-friendly meals.

🥛🌰 Why Almond Milk Can Be a Great Choice for Kids ?

If your child has cow's milk protein allergy (CMPA), unsweetened almond milk may be an option after 1 year of age, but only if it is fortified with calcium and vitamin D and your child's overall diet provides enough protein and healthy fats.

Always discuss milk alternatives with your child's pediatrician or dietitian.

✨ Why almonds are a nutritious food for kids:
✔️ Rich in healthy fats that support brain development.
✔️ Provide vitamin E, an important antioxidant for healthy skin and immunity.
✔️ Contain magnesium, which supports muscles, nerves, and bone health.
✔️ Offer fibre to support gut health.
✔️ Packed with beneficial plant compounds.
💡 Whole almonds and homemade almond milk contain much less protein than cow's milk, so they should not be the only source of nutrition.

Include other protein-rich foods like dals, beans, eggs, fish, chicken, tofu, or soy (if tolerated).
