This World Mental Health Day, let's make a quiet promise to ourselves -
To be kind not just to others, but to ourselves.
To pause, breathe, and prioritise our well-being.
To say NO politely when needed, and to step back from people and places that no longer serve our growth. ✂️
When something or someone constantly pulls us down instead of helping us grow, it's important to recognise that-and choose *respect over ritual*. 🚫
Science continues to remind us how the stress we carry in our minds literally manifests into chronic conditions and illnesses. 😷
It's time we start treating our MENTAL HEALTH as an integral part of our holistic well-being. 🪴 🍃
Reach out! A few seconds of courage can help you heal. 🫂

This summer was truly special — all thanks to the incredible experience of conducting a summer camp, alongside my wonderful colleague, Ms. Reshma.

Over the span of 15 enriching days, we explored the theme ‘Personality Development and Confidence Building’ through engaging, activity-based sessions. Our curriculum included a range of impactful topics such as communication skills, self-awareness, body language, teamwork, public speaking, and more.

Interestingly, the idea of conducting this camp came from a thoughtful parent during our school’s open house — and I’m so glad we brought it to life!

Each day was carefully planned to balance learning and fun, encouraging the students to express, reflect, and grow. One of my favorite sessions was on Healthy Communication Skills. We paired introverts with extroverts and gave them time to interact meaningfully. They later exchanged one genuine compliment and one constructive criticism — both thoughtfully reviewed by us facilitators to ensure they were kind, respectful, and growth-focused. Watching them articulate their thoughts assertively and empathetically was truly heartwarming.

Another highlight was the Treasure Hunt Day, which the students absolutely loved! Clues were hidden around the campus — including one with our ever-smiling and dedicated school watchman, Mr. Swami. As part of the task, a team member had to collect a clue from ‘Watchman Uncle’ and offer him a heartfelt compliment. His joyful smile made that moment unforgettable.

While delivering the sessions was immensely fulfilling, the real challenge lay in designing activities that were both purpose-driven and playful — all within a tight time frame. But seeing the students engaged, motivated, and growing every day made every bit of effort worth it.

We wrapped up the camp with a small graduation ceremony. Each child received a token of appreciation and shared the goals they had set in their personal camp diaries — along with the progress they made. We also gathered feedback from parents, which gave us even more insight into the impact of the camp.

Overall, this journey was a beautiful learning experience — not just for the students, but for us too. We built a special bond as a group, with many students arriving early just to talk about their hobbies, YouTube channels, and more.

And all I kept thinking was: "Why didn’t I do this sooner?"

This Mental Health Awareness Month, know that what you feel matters.
Everyone talks about people judging people. But no one talks about people judging themselves. So remember to be gentle and forgiving with yourself.

You deserve your kindness the most! 👑

On behalf of all Counsellors and Therapists- Therapy is a refined skill. Counselling is a distinguished profession. Acknowledging and compensating accordingly for the services should be practiced fairly just like any other occupation.

Being a leader doesn't always necessarily come with a designation, it can often even come as your peers or team members approach you for advice and support/suggestions.
Leadership in the true sense means moving forward together rather than leading on. This is what I truly believe and practice. It isn't often about the end result, but it certainly is always about the journey. The journey through the decision making process, the brainstorming, progressing and all while staying open and approachable. Finding meaning in the work that everyone around is putting into.

Hope reposting these tips help and serve you for the greater good.

⭐ Recommendations alert ⭐

Recommendations are extremely crucial and of paramount importance as they foster trust and understanding of how dependable a person's service or product is.
And when it comes to selecting the right therapist, it could take a lot of trial and error, exploration and more so even require you to be patient and optimistic to find the right fit. Various factors like ethical practices, safety, approach and methods, personal fit, accessibility revolve around the client & therapist rapport.

Here is me sharing a few of the recommendations that I have received on LinkedIn.
Hope this helps you understand me and the quality of service that I offer. 🤝

Today September 10th is marked as World Su***de Prevention Day.

Let's get together in building a non-judgemental environment where people feel free to express themselves without any fear and we are able to empathise instead of sympathise.
Where we create a space where they feel heard, belonged and cared. 🤝
