Your heart doesn’t come with a dashboard.

You may not feel your cholesterol rising.
You may not feel your blood pressure creeping up.
And you certainly can’t feel plaque building inside your arteries.

That’s why a heart check isn’t simply about finding out whether your heart is beating normally. It’s about understanding the risks and changes that may be happening quietly.

Depending on your age, symptoms and risk factors, your doctor may recommend different evaluations — from blood pressure, cholesterol and advanced markers to tests such as PLAC, 2D Echo and TMT.

Because the question isn’t only “Is my heart beating fine?”

It’s “Do I know what’s happening to my heart?”

This World Heart Day, make that check-in count.

Your heart does a lot of work every day — but knowing it’s working doesn’t always mean knowing how healthy it is.

From basic checks like blood pressure, cholesterol and blood sugar to tests such as ECG, 2D Echo and TMT, different assessments can answer different questions about your heart.

In some cases, your doctor may also recommend additional tests based on your individual risk factors and medical history.
You don’t need every test. You need the right tests for you.

This World Heart Day, take a closer look at your heart health and speak to an Apollo Clinics expert about the checks that may be appropriate for you.

World Heart Day is around the corner. ❤️

Your heart can keep working quietly for years, even when you feel completely fine. That’s why heart health isn’t only about noticing symptoms — it’s also about understanding your risk factors early.

Blood pressure, cholesterol, blood sugar, weight and family history can all provide important clues about your cardiovascular health. Depending on your individual risk and symptoms, your doctor may also recommend tests such as an ECG, TMT, 2D Echo or other cardiac evaluations.

So this World Heart Day, make time for a heart check — not because something feels wrong, but because knowing where you stand can help you take action sooner.
Talk to an Apollo Clinics expert about the right heart health checks for you.

As World Heart Day approaches, it’s worth remembering that feeling fine doesn’t always tell you what’s happening inside your heart.

Plaque can build up in the coronary arteries without causing obvious symptoms. In the Apollo Health of the Nation Report 2026, 45% of people with no symptoms who underwent coronary calcium scoring showed calcification.

That’s why heart health is not just about responding to symptoms. Knowing your risk factors and getting the right checks at the right time can help you take action earlier.

This World Heart Day, make your heart health worth a closer look. ❤️

Every breath is easy to take — until it isn’t.

A persistent cough, breathlessness on stairs, wheezing, or getting tired faster than usual can be easy to dismiss as tiredness, weather, or being “out of shape.” But when a change in your breathing keeps happening, it deserves attention.

Your lungs don’t always make a lot of noise when something is wrong.

This World Lung Day, listen to the signs your body may be giving you. If something feels different or keeps coming back, talk to a doctor and understand what’s really going on.

Breathe easy. Pay attention. Don’t normalise persistent symptoms.

Your period cycle can sometimes offer important clues about your overall health. Irregular or missed periods, unexplained changes in weight, acne, or excess hair growth can be signs associated with PCOS (PMOS), although these symptoms can also have other causes.

PMOS is a hormonal and metabolic condition, and its symptoms can vary from person to person. If you’re noticing a pattern of changes in your cycle or other symptoms, it’s worth discussing them with a doctor rather than simply adjusting to them.

Track the changes. Understand the signs. Get the right guidance.

Talk to an Apollo Clinics expert to understand your symptoms and the evaluation that may be right for you.

Fatty liver is often associated with alcohol, but alcohol isn’t the only factor that can contribute to fat building up in the liver. Metabolic factors such as excess weight, diabetes and insulin resistance can also play a role.

What makes fatty liver particularly easy to miss is that it can be silent. You may have no obvious symptoms, and even liver enzymes within the normal range do not necessarily rule it out. Depending on your risk factors and clinical assessment, your doctor may recommend imaging such as an ultrasound to check for fat accumulation in the liver.

It’s also important to look beyond the liver itself. Fatty liver can occur alongside broader metabolic health concerns, making it an opportunity to review factors such as blood sugar, weight and overall metabolic health.

If you have risk factors or concerns, don’t wait for symptoms to appear. Speak to an Apollo Clinics doctor to understand whether you need further evaluation and what steps can help protect your liver health.

Part 3 of understanding H1N1 in children with our expert! 🩺

When a child has flu-like symptoms, starting medication on your own may not be the right first step. The cause and severity of the infection need to be assessed before deciding on treatment.

In this part, our paediatric expert explains why antibiotics and antivirals are not interchangeable, why investigations may be needed, and the warning signs that mean a child needs prompt medical attention.

Watch to know what parents should keep in mind when a child’s symptoms start getting worse.
