The most important factor which decides the pregnancy rate in IVF cycle is embryo quality.

A good quality egg produced a good quality embryo and better pregnancy chances.

While stimulating the ovaries for IVF, we aim to produce a large number of eggs with the hope that we get many good quality embryos for transfer. This will ensure better pregnancy rates.

However, it is not just the number of eggs which is important.

A large number of poor quality embryos will not result in good clinical pregnancy rate.

Egg quality is more important.

Everybody is anxious about failure.

Today, a couple who tested positive after embryo transfer, told me that the last 15 days have been the most difficult of all.

They were worried about it failing.
What would they tell people??!

5 th month Pregnancy scan , also called anomaly scan is an important scan in the course of pregnancy.

This scan helps rule out the major abnormalities in the baby to an extent of 98%. It is important to undergo the basic antenatal consults and tests advised during follow up to anticipate and rule out the major complications of pregnancy.

A normal anomaly scan is a good sign of a healthy pregnancy.

IVF helps couples trying to get pregnant , but finding it difficult.
