Dr. Sreenivass BJ, Oncologist My mission is to impact 10 million women to detect Breastcancer early by doing screening mammogram

08/03/2026

Today on International Women’s Day, let’s celebrate strength, resilience, and the power of awareness.
Breast cancer is one of the most common cancers affecting women, yet early detection can save lives. Through this video, I want to highlight the importance of screening and timely mammograms.
I’m also sharing a glimpse of my book “Mom, It’s Time for Mammogram”, written to encourage daughters, families, and communities to start conversations about breast health and regular screening.
Let’s empower every woman to take charge of her health and remind the women we love that prevention and early detection matter.

Cancer is no longer just about fighting a disease — it’s about prevention, early detection, access to the right treatment, and compassionate care. On this World Cancer Day, let’s spread awareness, break myths, and remind every patient and caregiver that they are not alone. Together, we can truly close the care gap.

“Ran 5K
Not to compete — but to commit.
Movement is self-care.”
“This run is a reminder that physical activity is one of the most powerful medicines we have.
Just 30 minutes a day can improve heart health, mental wellbeing, and long-term quality of life.
Start where you are. Keep moving.”

“Bloating, acidity, headaches, skin issues, or constant fatigue?
Sometimes it’s not the food itself — it’s how your body reacts to it.
A food intolerance test can help identify foods that may be silently triggering symptoms.
Watch to understand what food intolerance is and when testing may help.”

“Eating healthy doesn’t mean dieting or skipping meals. A balanced diet is about giving your body the right nutrients every day — in the right amounts. Small changes in what you eat can make a big difference to your health.”

“Should cancer patients completely avoid carbohydrates?”
This is one of the most common fears I hear from patients and families.
In this video, I break down the science vs myths around carbohydrates in cancer care — explaining what cancer guidelines actually say, which carbs are healthy and essential, and which ones should be limited, not eliminated.
👉 Carbohydrates do not “feed cancer” the way many believe.
👉 A balanced, nutritious diet is crucial for strength, immunity, and recovery during cancer treatment.
Watch till the end to understand how to eat smart, not scared, during cancer.
