Our commentary on prediabetes remission published in The Lancet Diabetes & Endocrinology makes a case for striving for remission in those with prediabetes. Hitherto, an attempt had been made to prevent diabetes in those with prediabetes. We urge a shift to try to achieve remission of prediabetes and discuss the various advantages if you are able to achieve remission of prediabetes. Congratulations to Prof. Andreas L. Birkenfeld and all co-authors for this commentary.
