Inauguration of Advancing Patient Care at Swami’s Super Speciality Hospital - A Triple Milestone at SSSIHMS–Whitefield | December 06, 2025
In an atmosphere filled with gratitude to Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba, Sri Sathya Sai Institute of Higher Medical Sciences – Whitefield witnessed a significant step forward in its journey of compassionate, technology-enabled medical care. On this auspicious Saturday, three landmark events took place—each reinforcing the hospital’s founding message that service offered with love becomes healing in its highest form.
1. A New Era in Rehabilitation – Technology Meets Compassion
A state-of-the-art Rehabilitation Suite, valued at Rs 53.47 lakhs, was inaugurated by the Managing Trustee of SSSCT, Mr RJ Rathnakar, in the presence of trustees, senior dignitaries, and the hospital functionaries.
Designed to enhance functional recovery across neurological, musculoskeletal, and post-surgical conditions, this expanded facility introduces advanced therapeutic systems like:
• Rehametrics VR System
• Dyaco Neuro-Rehab Treadmill
• Robotic Upper & Lower Limb Therapy Modules
• Motorised Ergometric Systems
• Ceiling-based body weight–supported gait system
• Recumbent bike
These technologies allow precise assessments, safe mobility retraining, and highly personalised rehabilitation—helping patients regain independence, confidence, and quality of life.
The Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation team, led by Ms Deepika Rani K, demonstrated these systems to guests, marking the beginning of a new phase where innovation enables swifter, structured recovery pathways.
2. Strengthening Diagnostics & Clinical Infrastructure
The day also saw the inauguration of critical diagnostic systems that strengthen tertiary-care services.
* Two GE MAC-5 ECG Systems: Installed for Anesthesiology and General Specialities, these fully network-enabled machines ensure instant digital documentation, reduced errors and improved interpretation, seamless PACS/EHR integration and ready remote access.
* Visual Field Analyser for Ophthalmology: Supporting both ophthalmic and neuro-ophthalmic diagnostics, this system enables accurate monitoring of glaucoma, pituitary pathologies, optic nerve disorders, and visual pathway lesions.
* AI-Powered Innovation: PulzCAD™: A breakthrough wearable stress-ECG system was demonstrated on-site.
Recognising the hospital’s strong cardiac infrastructure, the process to conduct a clinical evaluation has been initiated, making SSSIHMS a national pilot centre for AI-based cardiac diagnostics.
3. Seminar on Rehabilitation – Knowledge Shared, Vision Expanded. A multidisciplinary academic seminar preceded the inauguration, drawing experts from Neurosciences, Cardiology, Physiotherapy, and Cognitive Sciences.
Speakers from MS Ramaiah Institutions, Christ University, and SSSIHMS emphasised early intervention, measurable outcomes, and personalised, holistic pathways—renewing the institutional focus on evidence-based rehabilitative care.
4. Seva Vandanam 2025 – A Tribute to the Silent Sevaks
As the sun set over Whitefield, the hospital honoured its invisible strength—its volunteers. More than 650 sevaks participated in 'Seva Vandanam', an evening of gratitude recognising: Honorary Staff

• Counsellors
• Helpdesk Team
• blood donation groups
• Corporate Volunteers
Veteran volunteers shared reflections spanning decades—stories of love that manifested as surgical support, teleconsultations, medical supplies, and consistent presence.
A simple memento presented by dignitaries symbolised the highest acknowledgement — that true seva is neither seen nor spoken of, but lived. Bhagawan’s message, bhajans, and Mangala Arathi concluded the event with quiet resolve in every heart—
to serve more, love more, offer more.
In a touching expression of gratitude, our doctors and staff personally served dinner prasadam to all the volunteers.
A simple act, yet filled with the warmth of love and humility.
At SSSIHMS, service flows both ways — from the heart, and back to the heart.
