When someone hears the words “there is a tumour in the liver,” the first assumption is often that it is liver cancer. Clinically, that isn’t always the case.

A tumour in the liver may have originated in the liver itself, or it may have spread there from another organ. Understanding this distinction is crucial because it directly influences diagnosis, treatment planning, and outcomes.

In this discussion with Suvarna TV, I explain the different types of liver tumours and why listening carefully to your doctor’s explanation is just as important as the diagnosis itself.

Not all liver disease announces itself loudly.

This World Hepatitis Day, I share a clinical reflection on why early awareness, vaccination, and routine screening are not optional—they are preventive safeguards against a disease pathway that can extend far beyond infection.

Prevention in liver health is not complex. Delay is what makes it complicated.

A 35-year-old professional came to my clinic recently with a very common complaint—persistent bloating and a vague sense of heaviness in the upper abdomen. There was no dramatic symptom.

Some moments in national history are not just remembered—they are studied for what they reveal about discipline, clarity, and ex*****on under extreme conditions.

There are lessons in how systems respond when precision matters most.

Sharing a reflection today that connects leadership, intent, and structured action under pressure.

Cancer does not differentiate between men and women as much as our lifestyles do.

The real drivers are often habits that silently become part of daily life:

Smoking

Alcohol consumption

Obesity

Lack of physical activity

Junk and processed food intake

Also important to remember: liver cancer may begin in the liver itself, or sometimes represent cancer that has spread from another part of the body.

Awareness and lifestyle choices remain among the strongest preventive tools we have.

The brain is not only an organ of thought—it is the centre of coordination, emotion, and resilience. On World Brain Day, this reflection explores both sides of brain health: the clinical reality of brain tumours and the human capacity to endure and respond through mental strength.

From early symptoms to modern diagnosis and evolving treatment approaches, and from surgery to systemic therapies, brain-related conditions demand both medical precision and coordinated care. Yet equally important is the often-overlooked role of emotional and psychological strength in navigating the treatment journey.

Brain health is not only about disease awareness—it is about understanding how deeply the mind and body are connected in moments of illness and recovery.

On World Brain Day, attention is rightly drawn to one of the most complex and vital organs in the human body. The brain is not only responsible for thought, movement, and memory, but also for how we process illness, uncertainty, and recovery.

Cancer care is not only about medicines and procedures—it is also about how a patient experiences the journey mentally and emotionally.

The mind plays a critical role in how treatment is perceived, how challenges are managed, and how patients continue to move forward one step at a time.

This reminder is not about positivity. It is about stability, clarity, and staying connected to the next actionable step during care.

Chai is comfort—but the cup matters.

Paper cups are often lined with plastic coatings, and when exposed to hot liquids, concerns around microplastic release are increasingly being studied, including their presence in key organs like the gut, liver, and lungs.

This is not alarmism—it is awareness. Small daily choices shape long-term exposure.

A simple switch to glass or steel for hot beverages is a safer, more conscious choice.
