As healthcare leaders, we often talk about the future of medicine. But the future is sitting in our waiting rooms today.

Across many regions, families are finding it harder to access timely pediatric care. Demand is rising. Clinical complexity is increasing. Yet pediatric healthcare capacity is not growing fast enough.

As a pediatric healthcare organization, we see this challenge every day. The answer is not simply building more facilities. It is rethinking how care is delivered-through stronger primary care networks, better use of technology, preventive health programs, and integrated care pathways.

Every child deserves access to high-quality healthcare close to home.

The conversations we have today about pediatric access will shape the health outcomes of an entire generation.

As leaders, providers, and policymakers, we have a shared responsibility to act now.

Academics and clinical practice are two pillars that must grow together.

While clinical experience provides perspective, academics bring structure, evidence, and continuity to that experience. Teaching and mentoring not only help shape the next generation of healthcare professionals but also keep us accountable, updated, and committed to lifelong learning.

It has been a privilege to be part of the journey of the graduating batch of the Diploma in Pediatric Sleep Medicine (DPSM). Congratulations to all the participants who trusted us to enhance their knowledge and clinical skills in this evolving field.

Every doctor we train today has the potential to positively influence countless lives tomorrow. That is the true impact of medical education.

Some milestones make you stop for a moment and appreciate the journey.

As we get ready to open our 5th Shishuka centre in HSR Layout, I feel incredibly grateful for everyone who has been part of this story-our young patients, their families, our dedicated team, mentors, friends, and well-wishers.

What started as a dream to create a trusted space for children's healthcare has grown because of the support, encouragement, and trust of so many people. Every new centre is a reminder of the responsibility we carry and the impact we hope to make in the lives of children and families.

This achievement is not mine alone. It belongs to everyone who believed in us, supported us, and walked alongside us through the years.

As we celebrate this new beginning, I would be delighted to have you join us and be part of this special occasion.

Thank you for being part of our journey. Here's to caring for many more children and families in the years ahead.

PIBO is increasing after the recent surge of Adenoviral infections and I was privileged to present our data and cases from Shishuka Childrens Hospital.
