They came to us for IVF. They went home pregnant after ovulation induction.

Nothing dramatic happened. We simply worked out why she wasn't conceiving — the egg wasn't being released — and treated that. A monitored ovulation cycle, correct timing, and the body did the rest. 🩺

Namaskara. Induction of labour is one of the most skilled parts of obstetrics — and one of the most misunderstood.

Patients often hear "induction" and assume a caesarean is coming. That isn't how it works. Induction means helping labour begin when waiting longer is no longer the safer option. The skill lies in the details — assessing how ready the cervix is, choosing the right method, respecting the dose, and giving labour the time it needs before stepping in.

When it is done with patience and close monitoring, a large number of these mothers go on to have a normal delivery. That takes a team — obstetricians, anaesthetists, nurses and midwives all watching the same clock.

Namaskara. Almost every mother who hears "we may need forceps" panics. Here's what it actually means.

Labour is long work. Sometimes, right at the end — baby is low, almost there, and mother is exhausted — a little assistance shortens those last minutes safely. That is all forceps are: two smooth, curved guides that cradle the baby's head and help it out.

Used at the right moment by a trained obstetrician, an assisted delivery can spare a mother a caesarean and a long recovery. It is a decision made in seconds, but never carelessly. 🩺

127 babies in one month. Half of them arrived the normal way.

July was our biggest month yet at Shanthi Gynec — 127 deliveries, 94 IVF cycles, 96 laparoscopy and hysteroscopy procedures. And even with so many high-risk pregnancies under our care, our normal delivery rate held at 50%. 👶

High risk does not automatically mean surgery. It means closer watching, better timing, and a team that waits with you. 🩺

22 years in practice. And the part that still humbles me is not the surgeries or the pregnancies — it is the love.

Women who came to me anxious and came back years later with a child holding their hand. Families who remember my name long after they've stopped needing me. That affection was never something I could plan for or earn on paper.

I'm simply grateful to God for the opportunity to be part of so many lives. 🌸

Am back in action after the conference 🤣. 2 normal deliveries to celebrate after returning . Came at 1am and starting full zoom at 8am Sunday ♥️loving the chaos and missed all this for 24 hours - I wouldn’t trade my life for anything - blessed to be where I am doing what I love the most - praise the lord and am thanking god every single day which I cherish

I am back on Instagram after 48 hours 😂😂. So much going on with work and future projects but my heart is in laparoscopic surgeries which gives me the adrenaline rush that nothing can match

20th laparoscopic case this week. Every single one tested me — and I showed up anyway.

Surgical stress doesn’t vanish with experience. What grows instead is the grit to sit with it, and a quiet self-confidence that carries you into the next case, and the one after that. 🩺💪

Not my fav saree number 5 of KSIC .10 years ago, she delivered at 27 weeks — a 950gm baby, 2 months in the NICU.

This time, we placed a laparoscopic cervical stitch early in pregnancy. She carried this baby all the way to 38 weeks. 🌱

A weak cervix doesn't have to write the ending. With the right diagnosis and the right stitch at the right time, the story can change completely.
