Sunday was one of those days that reminds you exactly why you do what you do.
A heartfelt thank you to Futurefoundation Prabhavathi for the invitation, and to Dr Prabhavathi R for trusting me with this responsibility. Being considered to present on a topic as close to my heart as storytelling and child communication was something I did not take lightly, and I hope it showed.
My session, “The Art of Storytelling,” explored how narrative is not just a skill but the bridge that connects a child’s words to their world. We talked about the science, the heritage we so often overlook, and the simple everyday things families can start tonight. The energy in the room, parents, teachers, doctors and therapists all together, was something I will carry for a long time.
The evening also included a panel discussion on helping children understand and use WH questions in daily life, moderated beautifully by Dr. Sameeta Prabhu. That conversation was rich, practical and genuinely rewarding, and I am grateful to have shared the stage with such thoughtful panelists.
To the entire Futurefoundation Prabhavathi team, thank you for creating a space where clinical knowledge and family support truly meet.
And to everyone who stayed, asked questions, and engaged so openly, you made every bit of preparation worth it. 🌅
