ACL is the commonest ligament getting ruptured/injured in active contact sports (Kabaddi, Football, Wrestling, Cricket, etc). In young and active individuals, we perform an Arthroscopic (दूरबीन ) surgery to stabilize the knee after such a twisting injury. Here's an animated video of basic steps in an ACL reconstruction, where we make a new ACL from patient's own tendon and fix it at the native ACL place in the knee joint.
