Pre-conference workshop on systematic review and meta-analysis
The Institute of Nursing Education and Research (INER), AlIMS Bathinda, in collaboration with the Nursing Research Society for Innovation (NRSI) - North Zone, conducted a day-long Pre-Conference Workshop on "Systematic Review and Meta-Analysis" on Aug 20, 2026, at Conference Hall-II, Auditorium, AlIMS Bathinda. The event was graced by Executive Director Prof. (Dr.) Ratan Gupta along with Senior faculty members. Prof. Gupta then addressed the gathering and emphasised the pivotal role of robust, rigorous research methodologies in strengthening evidence-based healthcare practice and improving the quality of
healthcare delivery.
Serving as the opening event for the 8th National Conference of NRSI-North Zone, this workshop focuses on equipping healthcare professionals and scholars with tools for scientific evidence synthesis. The workshop was conducted by the experts on the subject: Dr. Prabudh Goel (Professor, Dept. of Paediatric
Surgery, AlIMS Delhi) and team. The highlights of the workshop were hands-on sessions covering PICO research formulation, PRISMA protocol guidelines, systematic database searches, quality appraisal, and meta-analytic statistical tools. The workshop was attended by faculty, PhD scholars, postgraduate nursing and medical students, and public health professionals.
