Let's break this down:

BATH TOWEL — roz muh, roz body wipe karte ho, but wash kab kiya tha last? Weekly wash mat bhoolna, warna woh towel bacteria ka 5-star hotel ban chuka hai.

LOOFAH — cute lagta hai shower mein, par wet loofah = bacteria ki favorite jagah. Ise dustbin mein daalo, apni skin ko thank you bologe.

STRETCH MARKS — bio oil ho ya coconut oil ho ya “ayurvedic” oil ho, koi bhi oil inhe gayab nahi karega. Stretch marks dermis ke andar ka tear hain, oil sirf surface pe kaam karta hai. Real results ke liye tretinoin ya laser treatments dekhne padenge — apne derm se poocho.

PIMPLE POP karna satisfying lagta hai, main jaanti hoon. Par har pop ke saath aap ek scar risk le rahe ho. Patience > pop, always.

COLLAGEN POWDER - trend mein hai, par elasticity ka asli boss hai aapki skin ka collagen + elastin production, jo sirf sunscreen, retinoids aur ek achi routine se boost hota hai. Powder peeke skin firm nahi hogi.

⚠️ That “Fairness Cream” Could Be Costing More Than Your Skin.

A fairness cream is never worth risking your health.

Recent reports from Maharashtra have raised serious concerns after laboratory testing allegedly found dangerously high levels of mercury and lead in a commonly sold fairness cream. Heavy metals like these don’t just affect your skin, they can accumulate in the body and potentially damage the kidneys, nervous system, and other organs.

As a dermatologist, here’s what I want you to remember:
✔️ Fairness creams promising overnight results are a major red flag.
✔️ Skin lightening should never come at the cost of your health.
✔️ Avoid buying unregulated skincare products from unknown sellers or social media pages.
✔️ If you’ve been using such products, stop immediately and consult a qualified dermatologist if you notice skin thinning, irritation, unusual pigmentation, or other symptoms.

Healthy skin is beautiful skin. There is no safe shortcut to changing your natural complexion.

Please share this post. It could help someone avoid serious harm.

Every specialty has its own language… and dermatology definitely has ours.

Some of these phrases come out of my mouth dozens of times a day, and I don’t even think about it anymore.

“How long has this been there?”
“Please don’t scratch it.”
“Just relax, this will feel a little warm.”
“Use only a pea-sized amount.”
“Results take time- be consistent.”
“Stop picking at it.”

If you’re a dermatologist, you’ve probably said at least three of these today.

And if you’re a patient… now you know what we keep repeating every single day.

Dermatologists, what’s the one phrase you catch yourself saying over and over again? Drop it in the comments—let’s see how long we can make this list!👇

5 things I would NEVER do as a dermatologist. 🩺
Every day, I see patients who have spent months- or even years, trying advice from social media, friends, or influencers before finally seeing a dermatologist.
The truth is, skincare isn’t about trends. It’s about science.
In this reel, I’m sharing 5 things I personally would never do as a dermatologist- not because they’re “popular,” but because I’ve seen the consequences in real patients.
✨ Healthy skin isn’t built overnight.
✨ Expensive doesn’t always mean better.
✨ Viral doesn’t always mean safe.
✨ And what’s right for someone else may not be right for your skin.
My goal isn’t to create fearl- it’s to help you make informed choices backed by evidence, not algorithms.
Which point surprised you the most? Let me know in the comments, and share this with someone who follows every skincare trend they see online.
