A Brief History Of Interventional Radiology
In 1963, Charles Dotter first proposed the idea of interventional radiology. But this medical method was accidentally discovered when he was performing a percutaneous angioplasty operation. On this basis, the techniques of balloon catheter dilation and metal stent implantation, the endovascular stent was developed eventually.
