ହଁ, ଅନେକ କ୍ଷେତ୍ରରେ ଦୁଇଟି ଏକାସାଙ୍ଗରେ ଥାଏ।
ଦୁଇଟି ରୋଗର ଲକ୍ଷଣ ପ୍ରାୟ ଏକାଭଳି—ଅସହ୍ୟ ମାସିକ ବେଦନା, ତଳ ପେଟର ଦୀର୍ଘଦିନର ବେଦନା, ଅଧିକ ରକ୍ତସ୍ରାବ, ସହବାସ ସମୟରେ ବେଦନା ଏବଂ ବନ୍ଧ୍ୟାତ୍ୱ।

Does every young woman with adenomyosis need a hysterectomy?
The answer is NO.
Many women can achieve good symptom control with medical treatment.
If medicines are not effective, uterus-preserving treatment options should be considered before deciding on hysterectomy.
One such advanced option is Laparoscopic Ultrasound-Guided Microwave Ablation (LUMWA), which can preserve the uterus in carefully selected patients.
Every treatment plan should be individualized based on the woman's age, symptoms, MRI findings, and future fertility wishes.
Adenomyosis does not always mean hysterectomy. Know your options. Preserve the uterus whenever it is safe and appropriate.

This Doctor's Day became the most memorable one of my life when a group of young school children walked in just to wish me Happy Doctor's Day. Their innocent smiles, thoughtful gesture, and heartfelt wishes reminded me why I chose this profession in the first place.
In a world that often measures success by achievements, these little hearts measured it with gratitude and affection. That means more than words can ever express.
To all those wonderful children and their teachers—thank you for making this Doctor's Day the most special one I have ever celebrated. I will cherish this memory for years to come.

Honoured and deeply humbled to receive the Global Healthcare Impact in Accessible Endometriosis Care Award at the Times Health Icons Odisha 2026, and to have this recognition presented by the Hon'ble Chief Minister of Odisha, Shri Mohan Charan Majhi.

This award holds special meaning for me because it recognizes a cause that has defined a major part of my professional journey—making advanced endometriosis care accessible to women who have suffered for years in silence.

Endometriosis is far more than a painful period. It can affect a woman's education, career, relationships, fertility, and overall quality of life. Through awareness, timely diagnosis, advanced laparoscopic and robotic surgery, fertility-preserving treatment, and compassionate care, I have remained committed to improving the lives of women affected by this complex disease.

As Odisha's first robotic gynaec surgeon, first vNOTES surgeon, and one of the pioneers of advanced endometriosis surgery in the state, I view this recognition not as a personal achievement alone, but as an encouragement to continue pushing the boundaries of women's healthcare in our region.

I am grateful to my patients for their trust, to my mentors for their guidance, and to my family and colleagues for their unwavering support.

Receiving this honour from the Hon'ble Chief Minister makes this milestone even more memorable. It strengthens my resolve to continue working towards a future where every woman with endometriosis receives timely diagnosis, expert treatment, and the opportunity to live free from pain.
