Shri B M Patil Institute of Nursing Sciences (previously College of Nursing), Vijayapura (also previously Bijapur), in the Karnataka state started operations 1998 with only 8 students in the Diploma stream has now grown into a full fledged centre for training nurse to take up various roles such as practitioners, educators, researchers & administrators. Our alumnus spread across various geographica

l regions, making us proud of the skills and knowledge we have imparted in them. The current intake for the Diploma (General Nursing & Midwifery or RGNM) is 240 per year who can progress to the graduate level (Bachelor of Science in Nursing) by taking the post-basic (PBBSc) stream and eventually achieve their masters (Master os Science in Nursing). We also train offer auxiliary nurse (health care assistant) course (RANM). We strive to maintain international standards in training and imparting experience for our students and also create an ambient environment for holistic learning, research & innovation.
