✨ Is Belly Fat Affecting Your Hormones?

Belly fat is not just about appearance — it can directly impact your hormonal health too. 💡

✔️ Excess belly fat can increase inflammation in the body
✔️ It may disturb hormone balance, especially estrogen & insulin
✔️ Irregular periods can sometimes be linked to higher abdominal fat
✔️ Hormonal imbalance may affect fertility and reproductive health
✔️ PCOS symptoms can also become worse with excess belly fat
✔️ Poor sleep, stress, unhealthy eating & lack of movement all play a role

The good news? 🌱
Small lifestyle changes like balanced nutrition, regular exercise, stress management, and quality sleep can help improve hormone health naturally.

Your body always gives signals — don’t ignore them. Healthy hormones = healthier life. 💛

**PCOS just got a major upgrade.**

The medical community has officially changed the name from Polycystic O***y Syndrome (PCOS) to **PMOS: Polyendocrine Metabolic Ovarian Syndrome**.

Why the sudden shift? Because the old name was highly misleading—you don’t actually need to have ovarian cysts to have this condition! The new name reflects that it is a full-body hormonal and metabolic issue, not just a reproductive one.

Here is what **PMOS** actually means for your health:

* **👉 Polyendocrine:** Multiple hormone pathways (not just your ovaries) are out of balance, including your stress and reproductive hormones.
* **👉 Metabolic:** It targets your metabolism. Insulin resistance is a central feature, which can cause stubborn weight gain, intense sugar cravings, and energy crashes.
* **👉 Ovarian:** It alters your ovarian function, often leading to irregular cycles, skipped periods, or trouble conceiving.
* **👉 Syndrome:** It represents a complex group of interconnected, lifelong symptoms that require a holistic approach.

As a dietitian, my focus is shifting from “fixing cysts” to treating your root metabolism. Through targeted, balanced nutrition, we can naturally improve insulin sensitivity, regulate your hormones, and help you feel like yourself again.

🛢️ “Less Oil, Better Health” – A Small Change for a Healthier India 🇮🇳✨

Recently, our Prime Minister Narendra Modi emphasized the importance of reducing cooking oil consumption — not only because of the rising import costs due to global war crises 🌍⚠️, but also for our overall health 💚

As a Dietitian, I completely support this thought 🙌
Excessive oil consumption can increase the risk of:
• Obesity ⚖️
• Heart diseases ❤️
• High cholesterol 🩺
• Digestion issues 😣

🥥 Instead of heavily processed imported oils, let’s choose healthier Indian oils according to the season 🌿

☀️ This season, sunflower oil is a better option 🌻
Other healthy choices include:
• Coconut oil 🥥
• Mustard oil 🌱
• Groundnut oil 🥜

✔️ Use oil in moderation
✔️ Prefer home-cooked meals
✔️ Focus on balanced nutrition

Healthy eating is not about completely avoiding oil — it’s about choosing the RIGHT oil in the RIGHT quantity 💛
