That itchy, ring-shaped patch isn’t going away on its own. Here’s what it actually is. 👇
Tinea corporis — most people call it ringworm, but there’s no worm involved. It’s a fungal infection, and it loves warm, sweaty, covered areas of your body.
How to spot it:
🔴 Red, scaly, itchy patches
🔴 Ring-shaped or uneven borders
🔴 Tiny pimples or flakes at the edge
🔴 Gets worse with sweat or sitting for long hours
Why it shows up:
Fungus grows fast in warm, moist skin. Tight clothes, heavy sweating, and sharing towels or clothes all give it a place to settle.
Keep it away:
✅ Keep the area clean and dry
✅ Wear loose, breathable cotton
✅ Never share towels or clothes
✅ Change out of sweaty clothes right away
Here’s the part people get wrong: they buy a random cream, use it for two days, and stop. That’s how it comes back stronger. Fungal infections need the right medicine for the full course — and some rashes that look fungal aren’t fungal at all.
If it’s spreading, itching badly, or keeps returning, don’t guess. Get it checked. It’s very treatable when you treat it right. 💛
