I am deeply honoured and humbled to receive the “Peacock Medical Education Excellence Award 2026” during the National Consultation on AI Readiness for Healthcare, Education & Research, held in New Delhi on 16 August 2026.

It was a privilege to receive this recognition from H.E. Dr. R. B. Choudhary, Minister of State for Jal Shakti, and Dr. Abhijat Sheth, Chairman, National Medical Commission (NMC).

This recognition is not mine alone. I sincerely thank the management of SRIHER, the administration, the Chairman of CCC, my colleagues, professors, students, and staff for their constant support and encouragement.

I am grateful for this honour and remain committed to advancing medical education, innovation, and the responsible integration of AI in healthcare.

I would also like to express my heartfelt gratitude to my patients and their families for their trust, faith, and continued support throughout my journey.

Cardiology Update from Sri Ramachandra with Prof S Thanikachalam Endowment Oration ( CURE ) 2026 was successfully conducted from August 7–9, bringing together more than 600 participants from across the country for an enriching academic and educational experience. The highlight of the programme was the prestigious Professor S. Thanikachalam Endowment Oration, delivered by Professor A. B. Mehta, which was a memorable academic occasion. The programme also featured a highly engaging quiz examination where more than 65 teams across the country participated. The team from AIIMS secured first place and Jayadeva Institute got second place. Clinical case presentations, general cardiology updates, academic discussions and lectures along with extensive hands-on training using simulation models provided an unique platform for knowledge exchange, skill development, and interaction among cardiologists and trainees from across India, benefiting more than 600 participants.

We sincerely thank the management and administration, university officials, the Chairman, the Director, and the Department of Cardiology for their invaluable support. A special thanks and gratitude to all our faculties who came from all over the country to educate the students! We express our special gratitude to Prof JSN Murthi, Professor S Ramesh, Organizing Chairman of the programme, Professor Sadhanandham , Joint Organizing Secretary, Prof B Vinod Kumar and all our other professors, associate professors, assistant professors, faculty members, research staff, and the staff of the CCC, whose dedication and tireless efforts played an immense role in making CURE, 2026 a resounding success. The overwhelming participation from across the country is a testament to the collective effort, commitment, and teamwork of everyone involved.
