TRIGGER WARNING:
SU***DE

Living in an environment where sensitive yet critical topics are brushed under the carpet is not "OKAY".

As a team, we have always believed that preventing su***de and spreading awareness about su***de prevention is one of the most important and meaningful things we can do. 🫂

A greater number of individuals attempt su***de than die by su***de. In recent years, the rate of su***des has been increasing rapidly. According to the National Crime Records Bureau (NCRB), there has been an increase of 7.2 % in deaths due to su***de in the previous year. The national rate of su***de in India is 12%.

It is high time that we recognize and break the pattern of not addressing things that are sensitive in nature but are significant.

Let's begin by exploring some of the warning signs that individuals may exhibit when they feel suicidal. 🙏🏼

Mental Wellness Webinar- AFRICA! 🌍

Last week, Emote had the opportunity to address Mental Wellness through a webinar organized by Mr. Pregy Pillay from Africa. 20 participants from Africa attended this live session on Zoom.

The interactive session was conducted by John Lavanya, Counselling Psychologist from our team. Basic concepts in Mental Health and the Mind-Body Connection were discussed. John Lavanya also shared a few real-life examples and mental wellness techniques which made it easier for the participants to relate.

The interaction ended with Q&A, covering questions such as:
- How are stressors identified?
- How is acute stress distinguished from chronic stress?
- Could there be any patterns with regards to seasonal depression?

Owing to the positive feedback from the audience, Emote is absolutely delighted to announce more such webinars, open for all, soon. Stay tuned for the updates on the next webinar! ✨

Anxiety Post- Caption

According to one estimate of the burden of mental health diseases in India, as many as 44.9 million people suffer from anxiety disorders. The problem has escalated as a result of the Covid-19 pandemic, making it a global concern.

Anxiety is normal when you're under stress, anticipating unpleasant events, or facing an uncertain future. But occasionally, you might experience severe, ongoing anxiety that interferes with your daily activities. That being said, there are techniques one may do on your own to feel better, regardless of the type or severity of your anxiety.

But if you'd like a more detailed and personalized look at how you might manage your anxiety better, consider making a one-on-one session with a qualified therapist to get assistance with developing your own self-care approach.

Mental Health Care is needed NOW, more than ever.

Recent times have been challenging for most of us in many ways. The pandemic not only affected physical health but also impacted the mental health of society. Irrespective of the age, gender, or financial background, multiple factors are triggering mental health conditions or exacerbating existing ones on a large scale. Moreover, suffering oneself is already difficult, and seeing loved ones suffer is even more difficult.

At this juncture, it is very important to create more awareness of mental health and enhance the accessibility to health care services for all layers of society. We all need a strong support system and a safe space where we can heal and thrive.

Let's say NO to suffering alone in silence. Reach out to get the care you deserve.

We at Emote strive to provide affordable mental health services in a culturally sensitive manner. For affordable Counseling/Therapy services please contact us at +91 9150060035.
