On 17th September 2026, Saveetha College of Occupational Therapy organized a Faculty Development Program on "Evidence based ot in neurorehabilitation".
The session was delivered by Dr. Y. Angeline Blessy, Assistant Professor at Chettinad School of Occupational Therapy, who highlighted the importance of integrating evidence-based practices into neurological rehabilitation. The program provided valuable insights into research-backed therapeutic interventions and their application in promoting functional recovery and improved patient outcomes.

On 16th September 2026, the students of Saveetha College of Occupational Therapy (SCOT), under the Unnat Bharat Abhiyan (UBA) initiative, conducted an Academic Skills Screening and Early Identification Camp at Ryan International School, Sriperumbudur, for 200+ children from Montessori classes, focusing on the screening of academic readiness, attention, fine motor, and pre-writing skills to identify potential learning difficulties and promote early identification and timely intervention for better educational development.

On 11th September 2026, Saveetha College of Occupational Therapy organized a seminar on “Innovative Approaches to Neurological Assessment in Occupational Therapy: Technology-Enabled Evaluation for Functional Independence.”

The session was delivered by Dr. Dhivyalakshmi, Senior Occupational Therapist, who highlighted the role of innovative and technology-enabled assessment approaches in neurological rehabilitation. The seminar provided valuable insights into modern evaluation techniques and their application in promoting functional independence and improved patient outcomes.
