Dr.V.Ashwin Karuppan is a Consultant in General Medicine,Diabetology,Researcher and Social worker. Dr. V. He is passionate about his work and patriotism.

Ashwin Karuppan holds more than 10 National and International papers and publications to his credit and 10 research and review articles. He is also a Member of The Association of Physician of India, Indian Medical Association and RSSDI. Despite being a Green Card holder, he has been providing his services to many charitable hospitals across Chennai. He is the founding member of Tambaram Medical foundation – a self funded charitable organization serving the economically weak section of the society who are unable to afford healthcare for chronic Illness such as cancer. He is young and dynamic and dedicates most of his time towards providing affordable treatments to patients. Ashwin Karuppan has also completed his PG in Diabetology from Boston University, Massachusetts, USA

My sincere thanks to Dr. Bansi Saboo and the entire organising team for the invitation, warm hospitality, and for creating such a wonderful academic platform.

It was a pleasure to share, learn, and engage with an outstanding gathering of colleagues and experts in diabetes care. Events like these remind us of the importance of continuous learning, collaboration, and keeping the patient at the centre of everything we do.

C.O.D.E 2.0 — A Celebration of Excellence, Knowledge & Collaboration!

C.O.D.E 2.0 was truly a memorable gathering, filled with inspiring conversations, meaningful learning and an incredible sense of togetherness.

A particularly proud moment was the opportunity to honour Dr. Vijay Viswanathan with the Diabetes Eminent Oration — a recognition of his distinguished contribution to the field of diabetes and his enduring impact through clinical care, research and academics.

Equally special was the recognition of Dr. R.M. Anjana Mohan with the Diabetes Young Icon Oration. This honour celebrates her remarkable contribution and the energy, excellence and leadership she brings to the evolving landscape of diabetes care.

Two distinguished honours, two inspiring journeys — celebrating both the remarkable legacy of our field and the bright future ahead.

The success of C.O.D.E 2.0 would not have been possible without the incredible academic community that came together for this occasion.

Our heartfelt gratitude to all the speakers, chairpersons and panellists for generously sharing their expertise, experiences and perspectives. Your contributions made each session insightful, engaging and truly enriching.

A Tribute to the Teachers Who Shaped Me !

When I look back at my journey, I realise that much of who I am today was shaped by the teachers who walked alongside me.

They taught me far more than what was written in a textbook. They taught me to think, to question, to persevere, to stay humble, and to believe in myself. Their words became guidance, their corrections became lessons, and their belief in me became the confidence to keep moving forward.

Every milestone in my journey carries a little piece of their influence.

There were teachers who saw potential in me before I could see it in myself. Teachers who pushed me when I needed to be challenged, encouraged me when I doubted myself, and reminded me that learning is not just about becoming knowledgeable — it is about becoming a better person.

Today, I may have my own journey, my own achievements, and my own identity. But behind the person I have become are the teachers who helped shape me.

I may have moved far beyond their classrooms, but I have never moved beyond their lessons.

To all my teachers — thank you for believing in me, guiding me, correcting me, inspiring me, and most importantly, for helping shape the person I am today.

A truly elated and unforgettable experience presenting our work on the international stage!

We were thrilled to present 6 original research papers and posters — a moment of immense pride for our entire team. Every presentation carries hours of hard work, discussion, teamwork and passion.

A huge shout-out to our amazing research team — Dr. Hariharan Sukumaran, Dr. Deepika Ganesh and Dr. Shoba S. P. — this celebration belongs to all of us! 🙌

What made Melbourne even more special was being part of the many wonderful Indian events and gatherings alongside the Congress. Seeing our colleagues from India come together, learn, celebrate and make their mark globally was simply fantastic! 🇮🇳❤️

And to our doyens and mentors — Dr. V. Mohan, Dr. Shashank Joshi, Dr. Bansi Saboo and many others — thank you for the incredible warmth, encouragement, kindness and constant support. You make every journey more meaningful.

Honoured to be a part of TRAC 2026!

It was a privilege to speak at TRAC 2026 on “ABC of Clinical Research.”

One of the messages I was particularly passionate about sharing with young physicians and students is that clinical research is not as difficult as it may seem. With curiosity, the right question, a structured approach, and the willingness to learn, every clinician can contribute to research.

Research is not merely about publications or presentations — it is the backbone of evidence-based medicine and plays a vital role in improving the way we understand disease and care for our patients.

I sincerely thank the TRAC 2026 organisers for the excellent arrangements and warm hospitality, and my heartfelt gratitude to the Tamil Nadu RSSDI mentors and office bearers for this wonderful opportunity and their continued encouragement.

It was truly a pleasure to interact with and hopefully inspire the next generation of physicians and researchers.

Ask questions. Stay curious. Do research. Change medicine.

Delighted and deeply honored to share that our research was awarded First Prize in the Oral Presentation at Dr. Mohan's International Diabetes Update 2026.

It was also a true privilege to be invited as a speaker at this prestigious academic meeting. Having the opportunity to share our work and exchange ideas with distinguished colleagues from across the world made this experience even more meaningful.

My heartfelt gratitude to Dr. V. Mohan, Dr. Anjana Mohan, Dr. Ranjith Unnikrishnan, and Dr. Guha Pradeepa for creating and nurturing an exceptional academic platform that inspires research, innovation, and excellence.

Dr. Mohan has been a mentor to generations of physicians, and through his visionary leadership, India continues to be recognized on the global stage for its outstanding contributions to diabetes research and clinical care. The dedication of the entire organizing team has made this meeting one of the most respected academic forums in the world.

This recognition is a proud milestone for our entire research team Dr.Hariharan Sukumaran, Dr.Deepika Ganesh , Dr. Shoba S P and Dr.Aafrin Shabbir and a testament to our shared commitment to advancing diabetes care through meaningful clinical research. What an incredible experience at ADA 2026!

Proud to have represented our team and presented two scientific posters at one of the world's largest diabetes conferences. Beyond the presentations, the opportunity to learn about the latest advances in diabetes care, technology, and research was truly inspiring.

Every milestone is built on teamwork. A heartfelt thank you to Dr. Aafrin, Dr. Hariharan, Dr. Shoba, and our entire team for their dedication, support, and hard work. This achievement belongs to all of us. 🙏
