It was a privilege to be invited as faculty at the CME on Robotic Surgery held at Chengalpattu Medical College, where I delivered a talk on the Role of Robotic Surgery in Upper GI and HPB Cancers.

The highlight of the day was the engaging discussion with enthusiastic young surgeons and respected senior colleagues. The exchange of ideas, experiences, and perspectives made the session both enriching and inspiring.

Beyond academics, it was wonderful to reconnect with many old friends, making the occasion even more memorable.

My sincere thanks to the organizing team for the invitation and warm hospitality. Looking forward to many more opportunities to learn, teach, and collaborate in advancing robotic surgical care.

A special homecoming at MMC SURGICON 2026.

It was an honor to return to Madras Medical College—my alma mater—as faculty and share my experience with the next generation of surgeons. Presented master videos on robotic gastrectomy for stomach cancer and had an engaging discussion with enthusiastic young surgeons.

There is something uniquely satisfying about giving back to the institution that helped shape your journey. Thankful to the organizers and all the participants for the wonderful academic interaction.

Celebrating Resilience & Hope: 3 Years Cancer-Free! 🌟

Meet our incredible 79-year-old warrior who faced not one, but two challenging diagnoses — esophageal cancer and a colonic tumor — with unwavering courage and grace.

Three years ago, she underwent a complex, simultaneous robotic esophagectomy with hemicolectomy performed by our team. Today, she returned for her follow-up with a smile and a completely normal PET scan report! 🎗️📄

Her journey is a powerful testament to resilience, advanced surgical care, and the human spirit’s strength. Fighting two tumors and emerging cancer-free is nothing short of inspirational.

We are overjoyed to share this milestone with her and her family. Stories like hers remind us why we do what we do — to give hope, health, and happy tomorrows. 💙

The Greatest Gift a Surgeon Can Receive ❤️

Sometimes, the most profound moments come wrapped in simple gestures. One year ago, I performed a robotic gastrectomy and pancreatectomy for a wonderful patient who came to us from Uganda seeking treatment for stomach cancer.

At her one-year follow-up, she was perfectly healthy, vibrant, and full of life. Then, she presented me with this watch.

She told me it represents the time I gave back to her—time she now gets to spend with her loved ones. I was, and remain, utterly speechless with gratitude.

This is the human side of medicine that fuels every late night and complex procedure. To see a patient thriving is our ultimate success. Thank you for reminding me of the priceless value of time. BlessedToHeal

When a patient comes to us with a complex and challenging condition, our role is to walk with them, offering not just medical expertise, but hope and partnership. This journey is a profound testament to their incredible courage.

We recently had the privilege of caring for a patient who presented with a massive GIST tumor in the stomach, complicated further by a percutaneous fistula—a truly complex situation. What followed was a major, intricate surgery, but this story isn’t about the procedure.

It is about the patient’s immense resilience. Their unwavering trust throughout the planning and recovery. The quiet strength of their family. It was a team effort in the truest sense, and we are deeply grateful to have been part of their care team.
