🟡 What is Jaundice?
Jaundice is a condition where the skin, eyes, and mucous membranes turn yellow due to an increased level of bilirubin in the blood. While jaundice itself is not a disease, it is often a sign of an underlying liver, bile duct, or blood-related condition that needs medical attention.
⚠️ Common symptoms of jaundice include:
✔ Yellowing of the eyes and skin
✔ Dark-colored urine
✔ Pale or clay-colored stools
✔ Fatigue and weakness
✔ Loss of appetite
✔ Nausea or vomiting
✔ Itching of the skin
✔ Fever in some cases
Early diagnosis and timely treatment can help identify the root cause and prevent serious liver-related complications.
