Sri Sairam Ayurveda Medical College & Research Centre, Chennai, organised a special guest lecture to commemorate World Breastfeeding Week on Friday, 7 August 2026, at 11:00 AM at VRR Hall.

The session featured Dr. A. Safiyathus Saliha, BAMS, IBCLC, ACLP, MYICAN, IYCF Counsellor and International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC), as the guest speaker. She is an ayurvedic physician, childbirth educator and maternal & child health professional, and an alumnus of Sri Sairam Ayurveda Medical College & Research Centre.

The programme focused on creating awareness about the importance of breastfeeding and promoting evidence-based practices for maternal and child health.

The camp aimed to provide accessible healthcare services and create awareness about common health concerns among the local community.

SPECIAL MEDICAL CAMP AT NANDAMBAKKAM – COMMUNITY HEALTH OUTREACH

"Caring for Communities, Promoting Health."

Sri Sairam Ayurveda Medical College & Research Centre successfully conducted a Special Medical Camp at Nandambakkam on 23 July 2026, reaffirming its commitment to community healthcare and public well-being.

The camp provided free medical consultations, including general health check-ups, dental care, eye care, orthopaedic and surgical consultations, diabetic screening, and lifestyle disease management. Our experienced doctors and faculty also educated the community on preventive healthcare, healthy living, and the importance of early diagnosis and regular health check-ups.

The initiative witnessed enthusiastic participation from local residents, who benefited from expert medical guidance and quality healthcare services.
