Seeing a low follicle count on your fertility scan can understandably cause concern. However, a lower antral follicle count does not automatically mean that IVF will be unsuccessful.

Antral follicle count (AFC) is one measure of ovarian reserve and can help doctors estimate how the ovaries may respond to stimulation and the possible number of eggs that may be retrieved.
