13 year old gathered the courage to undergo surgery under local anaesthesia listening to music and chatting with me 😊. I could check the eyelid height ,contour and crease height as he was awake and could move the eyelid for me to check . His courage changed his confidence , social integration and self image . Kudos to this young boy

Ocular Trauma Society of India OTSI executive committee. Trauma has always been close to my heart . The sudden change in life that an accident brings into people’s lives , the psychological, social and financial impact that it has ,is touching .It’s gratifying to be able to contribute to restoring the appearance and bringing back smiles . Hoping to be able to set up some SOP’s and awareness in place for managing trauma in our country .

Always amazing to collaborate , exchange ideas and work together with other specialities working in the face to achieve the best outcome for the patient . Teaching the nextgen is an equally important responsibility which I love to shoulder. Had a talk on facial rejuvenation and also participated in faculty meeting to plan the next 2 years of teaching and training nextgen.
