We are proud to share that our Medical Director, Dr Geetha Iyer, was invited as Faculty for the 4th TFOS China Meeting in Kunming.

The meeting provided a platform to present CODE Eye Care’s work in the management of complex corneal and ocular surface diseases, covering areas such as PK, DALK, DMEK, keratoprosthesis and severe ocular surface disease.

The two presentations were:
“The Corneal Surgeon’s Canvas: A Medley of Keratoplasty and Keratoprosthesis”
and
“Beyond the Damage: Reclaiming the Ocular Surface in Stevens-Johnson Syndrome.”

The conference also brought together specialists from across the world, creating space for meaningful academic exchange, collaboration and shared learning.

With Dr Geetha serving as a Tear Film & Ocular Surface Society (TFOS) Board Director, the meeting was also an important opportunity for CODE Eye Care to engage with the wider TFOS community and strengthen professional connections internationally.

We thank the TFOS China team and organisers for their warm hospitality and for hosting such a valuable academic meeting.

Did you know that chronic dry eye isn't always just about screen time or dry air?

In many cases, it can be a warning sign of something deeper happening inside your body.

In this episode of EyeTalk with CODE Eye Care, it is explained how autoimmune conditions like rheumatoid arthritis and Sjögren’s syndrome directly impact your tear production.

Because these conditions affect the body's moisture-producing glands, managing the symptoms requires much more than just over-the-counter eye drops.

It takes a root-cause diagnosis and a collaborative, multidisciplinary approach to keep your eyes healthy and comfortable for the long term.

Your cornea plays a massive role too.
If there is underlying corneal scarring or conditions like keratoconus, it can impact your final results.

That is why a thorough pre-surgery evaluation is absolutely vital to ensuring the best possible outcome for your unique eyes.

Getting cataract surgery soon?
There’s one crucial thing you need to check first. 🛑👁️

Most people blame cataracts entirely for their blurry vision, but there is another major player behind the scenes: Dry Eye Disease.

If your ocular surface isn't healthy and hydrated before you head into the operating room, it can actually warp the measurements needed for your new lens and leave you with less-than-perfect vision afterward.

In this quick episode of EyeTalk, Dr. Geetha Iyer breaks down why prepping your eyes for surgery means treating the dryness first.

Because a successful surgery starts with a healthy foundation.
