CAIRS utilizes allogenic donor stroma to act as a spacer agent in ectatic keratoconic corneas, improving visual and topographic parameters while avoiding risks associated with the implantation of synthetic intrastromal ring segments.

It provides a more regularized topography similar to that of synthetic ICRS

The low volume of pure stromal transfer and the possibility of more rapid repopulation of the CAIRS by host keratocytes from the enclosing host stroma on all sides may contribute to a reduced risk of rejection.

Non-rigid, soft, and pliable in nature.

Average depth of implantation: 314.4 ± 61 μm

An unforgettable experience at the World Ophthalmology Congress (WOC) 2026 in Prague, Czech Republic! 🌍

It was a tremendous honour to be invited as an International Guest Faculty at the World Ophthalmology Congress 2026. From delivering lectures and chairing scientific symposia to participating in the ICO General Assembly as President-Elect, AIOS, every moment was truly enriching.

One of the proudest highlights was captaining Team Asia Pacific – Everest in the WOC Ophthalmology Premier League (OPL). Alongside Dr. Namrata Sharma (India), Dr. Prin Rojanopungpon (Thailand), and Dr. Chi Chin Sun (Taiwan), our team secured the Runner-Up Trophy - a memorable achievement on the global stage.

Beyond the exceptional scientific sessions, engaging discussions, and meaningful collaborations, Prague's timeless beauty from the iconic Charles Bridge to the majestic Prague Castle made the experience even more special.

WOC 2026 was truly a complete 360° experience of learning, leadership, collaboration, and friendship. The memories will be cherished forever.
