This five year old cutie had to get his primary second molar extracted due to deep caries.
He came back after a week with flawless healing of the extraction site.
The treatment doesn't end there, though. Space maintenance is a very important aspect of pediatric dental treatment, which is often ignored leading to so many setbacks once the permanent teeth erupt.
Here, a distal shoe space maintainer was fixed to maintain space for the permanent premolar to erupt into its right position in the arch. Without a space maintainer, the first molar which has already erupted here, will tend to drift forward leading to future Orthodontics problems.
