Sometimes, the biggest milestones are the simplest ones. 💙
When the therapist asked, “Who finished the activity?”, the child pointed to himself.
This may look like a simple gesture, but it tells us so much!
✨ It shows that the child:
✔️ Understood the question (receptive language)
✔️ Recognized that the question was about him
✔️ Responded intentionally to communicate
✔️ Is building the foundation for using pronouns like “I” and “Me”
Before many children can say, “I did it,” they first learn to communicate the same message through gestures. These early communication skills are essential building blocks for future speech and language development.
As parents, it’s important to celebrate these small victories because every milestone brings your child one step closer to confident communication.
