Most people know about ECG and ECHO. But what happens when your doctor needs a closer look at the arteries that supply blood to your heart?

This short clip explains CT Coronary Angiography, an advanced imaging test that helps visualise the heart's arteries and detect blockages that may not be obvious through routine evaluation alone.

Many individuals with diabetes, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, a family history of heart disease, or unexplained chest discomfort may benefit from discussing this investigation with their doctor.

In this video, Dr Kunal Sikund breaks down:
✔ What CT Coronary Angiography is
✔ How the scan is performed
✔ Who may need it
✔ Why it plays an important role in modern heart care

Heart disease does not always announce itself with symptoms. Understanding the available diagnostic tools can help people make informed decisions about their health.

🎙️ This is a short excerpt from our latest episode of Understanding Health with Sikunds.

Your heart may not always show warning signs and that’s exactly why awareness matters.

Many people believe that a normal ECG or absence of symptoms means everything is fine. But certain heart conditions and arterial blockages can remain silent until they become serious.

In our latest podcast, “CT Coronary Angiography Explained”, Dr Kunal Sikund, Consultant Radiologist at Sikund Diagnostic Centre, explains how this advanced imaging technique helps evaluate the heart, coronary arteries, and hidden cardiac risks with greater precision.

The discussion covers:
✔ What CT Coronary Angiography actually is
✔ Who may need this scan
✔ How it differs from ECG and ECHO
✔ Preparation before the scan
✔ Why early heart evaluation matters
✔ How hidden blockages can sometimes be detected before symptoms appear

This podcast is designed to help patients and families better understand modern heart imaging and make informed health decisions.

Monsoon season often brings an increase in infections that may begin with similar symptoms but the cause behind the fever may be very different.

Conditions like dengue, malaria, typhoid, viral fever, and chikungunya can all start with common signs such as fever, weakness, headache, body pain, or fatigue. Ignoring symptoms, delaying medical advice, or relying on self-medication may increase the risk of complications.

Understanding the warning signs and seeking timely evaluation can help identify the cause early and support proper treatment and recovery.

⚠️ Common symptoms to watch for:
• High fever
• Chills or sweating
• Severe body or joint pain
• Weakness and fatigue
• Persistent fever
• Cold, cough, or headache

✔ Stay hydrated
✔ Maintain hygiene and mosquito protection
✔ Avoid self-medication
✔ Seek medical guidance if symptoms persist

Early testing can make a significant difference during seasonal infections.

Sleep is the time when your body recovers, your mind resets, and your overall health rebuilds itself. Poor sleep may gradually affect your energy levels, concentration, mood, immunity, and daily functioning often more than we realise.

In today’s fast-paced lifestyle, sleep is often compromised first, while its impact on health is ignored the longest.

Healthy sleep is not a luxury. It is an essential part of preventive healthcare and overall well-being.

💤 Prioritise 7–8 hours of quality sleep every day for a healthier body and mind.

Childbirth is not the end of a mother’s health journey; it is the beginning of a new phase that needs care, recovery, and attention.

Many postnatal conditions like anaemia, hormonal changes, or nutritional deficiencies often go unnoticed, yet they can impact energy, immunity, and overall well-being.

Postpartum care is not optional. It is essential for a mother’s recovery and for the health of the entire family.

Through this campaign, we aim to encourage awareness, timely evaluation, and better care for every mother.

Because when a mother is healthy, the whole family thrives. 💚

Maternal health is a journey that begins even before conception and continues throughout pregnancy. Regular evaluations and timely monitoring help identify hidden concerns early and support safer outcomes for both mother and baby.

Many pregnancy-related conditions develop silently, which is why awareness, preventive care, and medical guidance are essential at every stage.

Through our Women’s Health Awareness Campaign, we aim to encourage informed decisions, timely screening, and better care for mothers and families.

Because a healthy pregnancy is built on awareness, care, and the right guidance.
