Inclusion isn’t a checkbox. Identity isn’t a label. 🌱
Attended a powerful panel by Thrive for Life on Inclusion vs Identity, and it left me thinking long after it ended.
From parents sharing raw, real journeys… to educators actively creating spaces of empowerment, one thing became clear:
We need to move from tokenism to true belonging.
✨ Build self-esteem early
✨ Understand masking
✨ Shift from protecting to problem-solving
✨ From integration to independence
But here’s the question that’s sitting with me
How do we genuinely include a 3-year-old in all of this… without making it performative?
Because inclusion starts earlier than we think.
