πŸŸͺπŸŸ₯🟦🎭 SOCIAL ANXIETY πŸŸ₯πŸŸͺ🟦🎭

Throughout this month we shared some insights about Social Anxiety . These illustrations talk about different aspects of social anxiety , how they impact various parts of our brain , how sometimes social anxiety takes over our life in the form of fear and lastly how we need to embrace it and reach our for help if we are facing difficulties.

These motivational and informational posts are put out to help each and every individual in some way or another. If these helped you / increased your knowledge or even simply made you feel heard then please let us know in the comments.

You can even take screenshots and save these images for your wallpapers. These can be excellent reminders and motivators as well.

We at WICCIDMHC aim to reach as many individuals as possible so that each of them is heard and empowered at the same time.

You are not alone ✨✨✨

🟣BREAST CANCER AWARENESS 🟣
Diagnosis of this cancer can be devastating and can trigger several adverse reactions for the majority of women. Many women can develop symptoms of psychological distress such as anxiety, depression, fatigue, pain, difficulty concentrating, social isolation, security concerns, and self-blame.

The loss of the symbols of femininity can result in low self-esteem, negative body image, false self-perception, social isolation and the development of communication or relationship problems with family members or friends. Some women may even develop "cancer stigma" from losing their feminine physical characteristics through hair loss (secondary to chemotherapy) or the loss of one or both breasts (following mastectomy).

The psychosocial stress and the physical burden of the disease may further reduce the patients’ opportunities in life and increase social rejection and isolation. Thus, their level of emotional well-being is decreased along with poor health outcomes.

Due to an increase in the awareness for breast cancer, many women have started adopting several strategies to cope with the diagnosis and redefine themselves and their lives accordingly. They usually turn towards positive cognitive restructuring, wishful thinking, yoga, physical exercise, and religious practice. Acknowledging the psychosocial impact of breast cancer diagnosis can also help to pave the way in providing psychosocial support in order to boost their self-esteem.

And our biggest moment was a PERSONALIZED VIDEO BY MS USHA UTHUP. That was indeed the highlight of the month and we are super motivated to work towards our bigger goals now. πŸ‘ͺπŸ‘¨β€πŸ‘§β€πŸ‘¦πŸ‘©β€πŸ‘§

πŸŒŸπŸ‘¨β€πŸ‘§β€πŸ‘¦πŸ‘ͺ✨Another wonderful and insightful webinar by our very own council sister Ms βœ¨πŸ‘¨β€πŸ‘§β€πŸ‘¦πŸ‘ͺπŸ‘©β€πŸ‘§

We discussed how to encourage better behaviour in kids and we had tons of takeaways from the webinar.
" Praise the effort and progress and not just the results " is so important and we tend to sometimes have a very narrow view thus always looking at the destination and not the journey.

September is Family Month at WICCI DMHC and we are conducting our final inhouse webinar on 30th September from 6:30 onwards. Link in the bio

🌞🌟 IMPACT OF FAMILIES ON MENTAL HEALTH 🌞🌟

Having healthy and strong family relationships leads the individual to a great extent. We can learn several elements with no burden of possessing so many responsibilities. The cycle of understanding and appreciating something concludes in learning. And that understanding we can with people with whom we grow up. And that's called family. Healthy relationships will come up to a better human.
