Invisible Threat: The Deadly Virus Carried by Rodents

Hantavirus is a rare but serious virus spread mainly through contact with infected rodents, especially their urine, droppings, or saliva. People can become infected by breathing in contaminated dust from places like barns, storage rooms, or poorly cleaned spaces. Symptoms often begin like the flu β€” fever, fatigue, muscle aches β€” but can quickly become dangerous by affecting the lungs or kidneys. Dengue Alert: When Mosquitoes Strike in Monsoon!

Dengue is a viral infection spread by the bite of infected Aedes mosquitoes. It usually starts spreading during the monsoon and post-monsoon season, when stagnant water creates ideal breeding conditions for mosquitoes.

Symptoms:

1)High fever
2)Severe headache
3)Joint and muscle pain (β€œbreakbone fever”)
4)Skin rash
5)Nausea and vomiting
6)Low platelet count (in serious cases)

Complications:
If dengue becomes severe, it can develop into Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever or Dengue Shock Syndrome, which may cause bleeding, dangerously low blood pressure, and organ damage.

Prevention:

1)Avoid stagnant water around your home
2)Use mosquito repellents
3)Wear full-sleeved clothing
4)Install window screens or nets
5)Maintain cleanliness and hygiene

πŸ’‘ There is no specific antiviral cure for dengue, so prevention is your best defense.
