Many people carry this silent expectation.
“If you love me, you should know.”
But mind-reading is not intimacy. Learning how to ask for what we need is often one of the hardest skills in relationships.
But expecting someone to know what we need without ever expressing it often sets both people up for disappointment.
Real intimacy isn't mind-reading.
It's being able to say:
"I need comfort right now."
"I need you to listen, not solve."
"I need reassurance today."
Love grows not only when someone understands us. But when we feel safe enough to tell them what we need!
