"just go to therapy" is genuinely good advice.
it's also advice that assumes a lot.
it assumes you know where to go. it assumes you can afford ₹1,500–₹3,000 per session. it assumes you have the time, the privacy, the family support, the energy to research options when you're already running low on all of those things. we all understand this pay is also important for the psychologists but most people who need therapy most are the least equipped to navigate finding it.
so we built the list we wish existed — affordable, accessible, real options in Indian cities. not expensive private clinics. community mental health centres. NGO counselling services. university clinics open to non-students. sliding scale platforms. places where "i can't afford this" is not the end of the conversation.
comment your city below — delhi, mumbai, bangalore, pune, hyderabad, chennai — and we'll send you the specific resources for where you are.
if your city isn't listed, comment it anyway. we're building this as we go and your comment tells us where to look next 🤍
(share this. someone in your life is quietly looking for this and doesn't know where to start. this might be what gets them there.)
