As a psychologist, I’ve realised something important…
understanding mental health is one thing,
but actually living it is a different challenge.
Some things I’ve had to consciously practice:
• Not reacting immediately to every thought
• Letting people misunderstand me without over-explaining
• Taking breaks without feeling guilty
• Accepting that I can’t control everything
• Sitting with uncomfortable emotions instead of escaping them
None of this comes naturally.
It’s practice. Every day.
What’s something you’re currently trying to work on mentally?
