The embryo has formed. So why might implantation still not happen? 🧬

In IVF, an embryo develops within a protective outer layer. In selected cases, a technique called laser-assisted hatching may be considered to create a microscopic opening in this layer, with the aim of helping the embryo emerge before implantation.

But here’s the important part: assisted hatching is not needed for every IVF patient.

What happens when the s***m needs a little help reaching the egg? 🧬

That’s where ICSI (Intracytoplasmic S***m Injection) may be considered in certain fertility treatment situations.

No s***m in the semen report? Don’t assume the answer is final. 🧬

In some cases of male infertility, s***m may be produced but may not appear in the semen. Depending on the underlying cause and individual evaluation, techniques such as PESA or TESA may be considered to retrieve s***m directly.
