🦵 AFTER KNEE REPLACEMENT, DO YOU NEED TO STAY IN BED FOR WEEKS?
Many people believe that recovery after knee replacement means spending weeks in bed. But that’s not necessarily true!
After surgery, gradual movement, guided walking and physiotherapy are important parts of the recovery process. Activity is increased step by step, depending on the patient’s condition and the surgeon’s advice.
✅ Early, guided movement to help regain mobility
✅ Gradual walking to rebuild confidence and independence
✅ Prescribed exercises and physiotherapy to improve strength and flexibility
✅ A planned recovery routine tailored to individual needs
Prolonged bed rest is generally not the goal. The aim is to help patients return to their daily activities safely and progressively.
Recovery takes time, but it doesn’t necessarily mean weeks in bed. Every patient’s recovery is different, so always follow your surgeon’s and physiotherapist’s guidance.
