🌟 GIFT OF LIFE – Celebrating Hope, Compassion & Humanity 🌟
Today, it was a matter of immense pride for the Rotary Club of Delhi South to celebrate a historic milestone at Sri Sathya Sai Sanjeevani Hospital, Palwal—the successful completion of 100+ free life-saving pediatric heart surgeries under the Gift of Life initiative.
The occasion also marked the success of our first Collaborative Global Grant, bringing together Rotary clubs from India and across the world in a shared commitment to save the lives of children born with congenital heart disease.
Although our District Governor Rtn. Ajeet Jalan could not be present due to his prior commitment at an Installation Ceremony, he conveyed his warm wishes and blessings for the continued success of this noble humanitarian project.
A memorable highlight of the event was an inspiring virtual address by legendary cricketer Shri Sunil Gavaskar, who joined us live from Mumbai and applauded Rotary’s commitment to giving children a new lease of life.
The programme was graced by AKS Rtn. Vivek N. Gaur, AKS Rtn. Nitin Mehta, Dr. Sunil Chechi, distinguished guests, Rotarians, corporate partners and supporters who have made this remarkable initiative possible.
As President of the Rotary Club of Delhi South, I feel deeply honoured to be associated with this life-transforming project. My heartfelt appreciation goes to Project Chair Rtn. Kriti Makhija for her outstanding leadership and meticulous ex*****on. I also express my sincere gratitude to our Vice President, Rtn. Rajinder Sehgal ji, whose generous contribution of â‚ą27 lakh has significantly strengthened the Gift of Life initiative.
Every child whose heart has been healed is a living reminder of what Rotary can achieve when compassion, vision and service come together. This is not merely a celebration of surgeries performed—it is a celebration of hope restored, families reunited and futures transformed.
Together, let us continue to give the Gift of Life, one heartbeat at a time.
