Celebration of World Population Day Awareness Week ( 11 - 18 July 2026 )
In compliance with the directions issued by the Department of Health and Family Welfare, GNCTD, Dr. B. R. Sur Homoeopathic Medical College, Hospital & Research Centre successfully observed World Population Day Awareness Week from 11th – 18th July 2026 on the theme “जब बच्चों में हो सही अंतराल,परिवार बने स्वस्थ और खुशहाल”, under the guidance of Dr. (Prof.) Neena Mehan, Principal Incharge /H.O.D., and Dr. (Prof.) Sandhya Rastogi, Nodal Officer, Family Planning.
The campaign aimed to educate the general public on population control measures, family planning, maternal and child health, and responsible parenthood. Dr. Surabhi Khatta, Assistant Professor, along with Senior Residents, Junior Residents, Interns, and BHMS students organized information, eucation, and communication (IEC) initiatives both inside and outside the hospital premises. The Key activities included interactive Family Planning Counselling sessions, Seminars, Webinars and thought-provoking Street play (Nukkad Natak).

Under the able guidance of Principal/HOD Dr Neena Mehan Founder’s Day was successfully celebrated at Dr B R Sur Homoeopathic Medical College on 20/08/26. The whole program was co-ordinated by Dr. S. N. Jana, Professor, Deptt. of PoM.

Highlights of the programme : -

1. The day started with floral tribute to Dr.B R Sur by Principal madam, others followed.

2. To***co Cessation Centre inauguration at OPD no. 21, was co-ordinated by Anti To***co Committee.

3. Cultural program at the auditorium hosted by Dr. Jana, with an inspiring speech by HOD and HOO, Dr. Surbhi presented the highlights of Dr B R Sur’s journey through the homoeopathic world, various cultural events were organised with the support of the student council, and the day ended with a vote of thanks by Dr. Sheeba and Dr. Richa.

4. Distribution of refreshment boxes among the students, staff and patients followed, the whole program ended on a sweet note.

A workshop on Polysomnography (PSG) was successfully conducted on 07 July 2026 in the IPD Polysomnography Room at Dr B R Sur Homoeopathic Medical College, Hospital and Research Centre, New Delhi.

The workshop was conducted under the guidance and support of the Principal, Dr Professor Neena Mehan, whose efforts and support contributed to the successful conduct of the programme. The programme was very well coordinated by Dr. Brijesh, SR, who has been successfully performing PSG on ipd patients .

The practical demonstration was performed on a patient, Mr. Tirath Singh, and was conducted by the trainer, Mr. Ravindra Singh and Dr. Brijesh.

The workshop provided the participants with a practical and comprehensive overview of the Polysomnography procedure. hands-on demonstration enabled the participants to gain a better understanding of the practical aspects of PSG, equipment handling, monitoring and interpretation of recorded parameters. It enhanced their knowledge regarding the role of Polysomnography in the diagnosis and evaluation of sleep-related disorders.

The workshop was conducted successfully and was beneficial to the participating faculty, staff and students. It served as a valuable initiative towards strengthening clinical training, practical exposure and the use of modern diagnostic facilities at the institution.

A mass pledge taking ceremony on the 183rd death anniversary of Dr. Christian Friedrich Samuel Hahnemann, the Father of Homoeopathy on 2nd July 2026 (Thursday) as a tribute, the National Commission for Homoeopathy (NCH) is initiating a nationwide Mass Pledge-Taking Ceremony titled the “Hahnemann Memorial Pledge”.

Dr B.R. Sur Homoeopathic Medical College, Hospital and Research Centre has organised the pledge taking ceremony along with a seminar on life history of Dr Sameul Hahnemann 11 am onwards in the hospital premises.
