Parents, please don't ignore even a small dog bite or scratch on your child.

Children are more likely than adults to develop serious complications because:

👶 They are often bitten on the face and neck
🐕 They may hide the bite out of fear
🩸 Their smaller body size can increase the urgency of treatment
⏰ Delaying medical care can have life-threatening consequences

In this video, Dr. A.K. Gupta explains why children need immediate attention after a dog bite and what every parent should do.
Please share this video with other parents. One share could help save a child's life.

I get asked this constantly: "Doctor, I took one rabies vaccine shot, am I safe now?"
The honest answer is no and I want every person reading this to understand why, because this misunderstanding is exactly what puts people at risk.
The rabies vaccine is not a single dose. It works as a schedule, given over several visits, because your body needs that full course to build proper immunity against the virus. Stopping after one shot leaves you only partially protected and with rabies, partial protection is not protection at all. Once symptoms appear, there is no treatment. None.
In this video, I explain exactly how many doses you need, why the schedule matters as much as the vaccine itself, and what happens if you skip or delay a dose.
Please don't assume one shot is enough. Watch this before you decide your vaccination is complete.
Tag someone who recently started their rabies vaccine course.
Not sure how many doses you've had or need? Ask me in the comments I read and reply personally.
Share this. Someone stopping too early is a mistake I'd rather prevent than treat.
