Imagine having no sun for 65 days! 🤯

The sun has officially set for the last time this year in Utqiaġvik, Alaska.

On November 18, the horizon swallowed its final light, and the town won’t see another sunrise until January 22, 2026.

Because Utqiaġvik sits north of the Arctic Circle, Earth’s winter tilt turns this far corner of the world away from the sun!

Still, it’s not gonna be complete blackness.

There’s going to be a faint twilight, a quiet glow, sometimes the shimmer of the Northern Lights painting the sky.

Hope this makes you appreciate having the sun where you are 🌞
