“खाना खाने के बाद कुछ मीठा तो बनता है…” — लेकिन क्या हर बार? 🍰🍨

अगर खाना खाने के बाद आपको भी रसगुल्ला, गुलाब जामुन, ice cream या कोई मिठाई खाने की बहुत ज़्यादा craving होती है, तो एक बार खुद से ये सवाल पूछिए:

👉 “मुझे सच में भूख लगी है… या मैं सिर्फ leisure के लिए खा रहा/रही हूँ?”

Dr. Naresh Agarwal explains an important point — मीठा हमेशा villain नहीं है.

Dal Healthy Hai… Lekin Kya Aap Ise Unlimited Kha Sakte Hain? 🥣🤔
Bachpan se humne suna hai:
“Dal mein protein hota hai, dal khaya karo!” ❤️

Aur ye baat bilkul sahi hai — dal Indian diet ka ek nutritious aur valuable part hai.
Lekin ek common misconception ye hai ki agar koi food healthy hai, toh use jitna chahein utna kha sakte hain.
❌ Healthy food ≠ Unlimited food

Dal mein protein ke saath carbohydrates aur calories bhi hoti hain. Isliye agar aap apni calorie intake, weight management, diabetes control ya overall diet par dhyan de rahe hain, toh portion size important ho sakta hai.

🥣 Dal ki quantity
🌱 Dal ki variety — moong, masoor, arhar, urad etc.
🫒 Kitna oil/ghee use hua hai
🍲 Dal ka preparation method
🍚 Aap uske saath kya kha rahe hain

Dal is also a source of plant protein, carbohydrates and dietary fibre, making it a useful part of a balanced Indian diet.

So the message isn't:
“Dal mat khao.” ❌
The message is:

“Dal zaroor khao — but portion aur overall diet ko samajhkar.” ✅

“Multigrain”, “High Fibre”, “Brown Rice” — healthy hai ya sirf packet ki marketing? 🤔

Supermarket mein aajkal aapko almost har jagah words milte hain like:

🌾 Multigrain
🌾 High Fibre
🍚 Brown Rice
🌾 Whole Grain
🥣 Healthy Grains

But ek important question hai:

Kya packet par “Multigrain” likha hone ka matlab automatically healthy hota hai?

Not necessarily.

🌾 What does MULTIGRAIN actually mean?

But “multigrain” doesn't automatically mean “high fibre” or “healthier.”

The actual nutritional value depends on:

✔️ Which grains are used
✔️ Whether they are whole or refined
✔️ How much fibre the product contains
✔️ How processed the food is
✔️ What else has been added
✔️ Your overall diet and portion size

🍚 And what about rice?

Rice isn't automatically an unhealthy food.

Similarly, roti isn't automatically healthier just because it is roti.

Rice and wheat are both carbohydrate-containing staple foods, and what matters is the type, preparation, portion and what you eat along with them.

6 daily habits that may be silently affecting your digestive health! 🚨

Here are 6 habits worth rethinking:
1️⃣ Drinking too little water 💧
Adequate hydration supports normal digestion and helps prevent problems such as constipation.

2️⃣ Taking painkillers for every small problem 💊
Frequent use of certain painkillers, especially NSAIDs, can irritate the stomach lining and increase the risk of ulcers and gastrointestinal bleeding.

3️⃣ Stress eating 😣🍕
When you're stressed, reaching repeatedly for highly processed, sugary or fatty foods can make maintaining a healthy diet much harder.

4️⃣ Not getting enough quality sleep 😴
Poor sleep doesn't just leave you tired. It can affect appetite, metabolism and overall health.

5️⃣ Eating a low-fibre, highly processed diet 🍔
A diet dominated by maida, junk food and processed foods can leave you short on fibre. Fruits, vegetables, whole grains, legumes and other fibre-rich foods are important for digestive health.

6️⃣ Lying down immediately after eating 🛌
This can make reflux and heartburn worse in some people, particularly after a large meal.

💧 Stay adequately hydrated
🥗 Eat enough fibre
🏃 Stay physically active
😴 Prioritise quality sleep
🧘 Manage stress
💊 Don't self-medicate unnecessarily

🍚 Roti better hai ya Rice?

India ke almost har ghar mein is question par debate ho sakti hai! 😄

“Diabetes hai? Rice band.”
“Weight badh raha hai? Roti khao, rice mat khao.”
“Pet mein problem hai? Rice hata do.”
But nutrition mein har food ko Hero ya Villain banana itna simple nahi hai.
Roti bhi food hai. Rice bhi food hai. Dono carbohydrate sources hain.

The bigger question is:
👉 How much are you eating?
👉 What type are you choosing?
👉 What are you eating along with it?
👉 And what does your overall diet look like?

Rice ko unnecessarily villain bana diya gaya hai.

So instead of thinking:

❌ Rice = Bad
❌ Roti = Good

Think:

✅ Portion matters.
✅ Food quality matters.
✅ What you pair it with matters.
✅ Your complete diet matters.
