If your child often asks “what?”, turns up the TV volume, doesn’t respond when called or struggles with speech and schoolwork, it may be more than distraction.

Earwax, fluid behind the eardrum, recurring infections or hearing loss can affect how clearly a child hears. Early evaluation and a timely hearing test can make a meaningful difference.

A nosebleed can look alarming, but knowing the right first step can make all the difference. 👃

Have your child sit upright, lean slightly forward and gently pinch the soft part of the nose continuously for 10 minutes. Never tilt their head backwards.

While dryness, nose-picking, allergies or minor injuries are common causes, frequent or heavy bleeding, bleeding after an injury, or weakness should be assessed by an ENT specialist.
